Creating healthy boundaries

Creating and maintaining healthy boundaries is essential for self-care and wellbeing, they help define our identity and values while protecting us from overextending ourselves in both our personal and professional life.

Description

Creating healthy boundaries - 4 session community wellbeing course

Personal boundaries aren’t always clear or easy to spot. We often only notice them when something feels uncomfortable—like when we’re overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or saying "yes" when we really want to say "no."

Everyday life can blur these boundaries. Whether it’s pressure from family or friends, constant messages or social media, or changes in routines and relationships, it’s easy to lose track of our own needs.

Boundaries aren’t about pushing people away—they’re about knowing what matters to you, what you’re responsible for, and what helps you stay well. When we understand and protect our boundaries, we’re more likely to feel calm, in control, and better able to support both ourselves and others.

“Boundaries are not about keeping people out. They’re about defining who you are and what you stand for.” — Carolyn Spring
