Full‑day staff wellbeing workshop

Do you ever say “yes” when you mean “no,” avoid difficult conversations, or wish you could speak up more easily? This full-day workshop/ course explores how to communicate clearly and kindly while standing your ground. Assertiveness isn’t about being forceful - it’s about expressing your needs with confidence while respecting yourself and others.

 

In this workshop you will:

  • Explore what makes speaking up feel difficult

  • Understand passive, assertive and aggressive communication

  • Learn simple tools for clear, kind communication

  • Practise saying “no” without guilt and handling pushback

  • Build confidence in expressing your needs

 

You’ll be part of a warm, supportive group where you can reflect and practise at your own pace.

 

Who is it for?

This free one-day retreat is for anyone working in the NHS or health and social care in Leeds. To book your place, you'll just need a valid work email address - and that's all. No referral, no fuss.

Assert Yourself Kindly is part of the Caring Courage Programme, a series of three courses exploring boundaries, self‑compassion and assertiveness. Many participants find it helpful to attend more than one.
