Fuelling Your Best Self: A Practical Guide to Balanced Eating

Advice, trends, and social media can make eating well feel confusing—especially when life or mental health get in the way.

Description

Maintaining a balanced and healthy relationship with food can be challenging, especially in a world full of conflicting advice, diet trends, and pressure from social media. This can be further complicated by personal circumstances, including mental health challenges, which can affect how, when, and what we eat.

‘Fuelling Your Best Self’ is a practical and supportive workshop designed to explore what balanced eating really looks like, how to navigate common barriers, and how to build lasting habits that support both physical and mental wellbeing.

This session is delivered in partnership with two Dietetic students and a Dietitian from the Healthy Living Service at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The workshop will explore:

  • The core principles of balanced eating

  • Barriers that can prevent us from maintaining a healthy diet

  • The impact of social media on food choices and eating behaviours

  • Practical tips to support everyday eating

  • Additional resources for ongoing support

This online session is open to anyone who would like to improve their understanding of balanced eating in a realistic, non-judgemental environment.
