Taster day, and meet the team

Come along, say hello, and see what we’re all about.

Description

Come along to our taster afternoon in partnership with Arts & Minds. Everyone is welcome.

Whether you're exploring support for yourself, someone you care about, the people you work with, or you're simply curious about what we do, we'd love to welcome you to our free Open Afternoon.

This is a relaxed drop-in event with no set agenda, so you can come and go as you please. Meet our team, discover what we offer and explore whether Leeds Recovery College and Arts & Minds feel right for you.

At Leeds Recovery College, we believe everyone has something valuable to offer. Learning together at your own pace can build wellbeing, confidence and connection.

What to expect

During the afternoon, you can:

  • Meet our staff, volunteers and facilitators.

  • Explore our courses, workshops and wellbeing sessions.

  • Try a short taster activity – no pressure to join in.

  • Take part in a creative wellbeing activity with Arts & Minds – no experience needed.

  • Meet the MindWell team and find out about mental health and wellbeing support available across Leeds.

  • Pick up information to take away.

Ask a question, have a chat, or simply look around – whatever feels right for you.

Planning your visit

If coming along on your own feels a little daunting, you're very welcome to bring a friend, family member, carer or someone who supports you.

The event takes place in a large hall and may feel busy at times. You're welcome to bring anything that helps you feel comfortable, such as ear defenders, a fidget toy or sunglasses. You can take a break or leave at any time, and there's no pressure to talk to anyone or take part in any activity.

If there's anything we can do to help you feel more comfortable attending, please get in touch.

For professionals and partners

If you work in health, care, education, or the community and voluntary sector, we'd also love to welcome you.

Come along to learn more about Leeds Recovery College and Arts & Minds, explore how we could support the people you work with, and chat with our team about working together.

Booking:  It's drop-in, but please book your free place in advance to help us plan.
